Introducing the wonderful Rabekah Mattix!

Current Kidz Community role: Rabekah gets to love on our 3-5 year old preschoolers as a Group Helper for the second service.

How long she’s served in Kidz Community: She has served a whopping 5 years! (That’s why she wears the red star on her Kidz Community t-shirt.)

What keeps you busy outside of church: Theater, I’m in my school’s play: A Modern Christmas Carol; reading, I typically go through two-three books a week :), and hanging out with my friends.

Lightening round:

  • Were you named after anyone? Had to put a name one in there, didn’t ya? 🙂 Well, I’m supposed to be named after Rebekah from the Bible, but for some reason my parents decided to stick an A in there… I’ve become so used to people spelling it wrong that I’ve caught myself doing it a few times.
  • If you could play any part in a particular play, which part would it be? Hmmmm… well, technically this is a musical, but Belle from Beauty and the Beast, the stage version. It was one of my favorite movies when I was little and I loveee the songs in it. That, and Belle and I share a lot of the same characteristics. (Bookworms, anyone?)
  • Would you rather bungee jump or hang glide off a tall cliff? Hang glide, it would be so cool to feel like I’m flying. Bungee jumping involves ropes. And ropes tear.

Here is what Rabekah said she loves most about being a part of the Kidz Community team:

“I love that it is structured and that there is an amazing community within it. It really makes it something I look forward to and something I want to continue.”

We love the great talent and energy Rabekah brings to the team!!
