The latest leader spotlight shines on Virginia Madden!
Current Kidz Community role: She gets the privilege of loving babies in our Newborn room for the 11am service.
How long she’s served in Kidz Community: Virginia has been serving faithfully spreading the love for a year and a half.
What keeps her busy outside of church: My family is what keeps me the busiest. I homeschool and love spending time with my family. I am also working on creating The Love Project, a non-profit organization which will provide free portraits for families with terminal illnesses.
- What is your earliest memory of church? I can remember attending church as a little girl. I grew up in the Catholic Church and attended catholic school. However my real involvement and love for church began in early 1996 when we began attending a community church in Virginia Beach.
- If you had to pick a country (or culture) and eat their food for the rest of your life, which one would it be? Dominican. I have eaten in several countries (Italy, Spain, Iceland, Saudi Arabia) but none of them compare to the amazing food in the Dominican Republic.
- Would you rather do a mini cheer whenever someone compliments you OR have to jump up and touch the door frame every time you go through a doorway? Jump up and touch the door frame every time I go through a doorway. First of all I would never want to draw attention to a compliment, that’s too personal. Secondly, I really need the exercise. 🙂
Virginia said this is what she loves most about being a part of the Kidz Community family:
“I love being able to offer a safe, loving place for parents to leave their babies so they can focus on the worship and message on Sundays. Every week I look forward to each of our babies coming in and miss them when they are not there.”
Be sure to give her a big “Thank You” for all that she does!
